We contracted Susan Pacek to photograph our destination wedding in Isla Mujeres and could not be happier with the experience! From beginning to end, Susan was very communicative and made sure we were on the same timeline/schedule for our special day. Susan's knowledge of the island truly showed when we received our wedding photos, she helped us plan the time of our wedding to ensure we had the best sunset photos, and she was right! Throughout the entire day, Susan made sure we were having fun and letting loose (Which is difficult for us, LOL). Although we are not the typical "lovey" couple, Susan's enthusiasm for the photo shoot made the entire day that much better. I cannot thank her enough for all that she did for us, I would highly recommend her for any wedding or proposal photo shoot!

We chose Susan for family photos on Isla Mujeres and had a great experience from start to finish. She was extremely communicative and answered all my questions before hand. The day of the shoot was windy, so I was pushing the hair out of my face half the time, plus my kids were making crazy faces. I really didn't think we would have many good photos - but we have tons of gorgeous photos and couldn't be happier.

Susan was great up until wedding day and after the fact. I was everyone to be aware that we did have our wedding in the middle of the pandemic 2020. The weather wedding day took a turn as in windy as none other. Every persons hair and dresses were all over the place, which I don't blame Susan for in any shape. My sister in law suggested we move everyone to a different part of the property as it has similar views and the wind would be partially blocked by a large mental building/shop as she knew I would hate all of my pictures at this point. She was extremely rude and said straight up no, and it was my fault I had so many pictures to be taken.... I have a large family and wanted to get the pictures I wanted, as one I was paying for them, and two I am only getting married once and want my wedding pictures. So the bottom line there is I have ZERO family pictures that I like, and not one of them was printed. My second issue is the deposit. We had to down size and move our wedding from the original plan due to the pandemic. I wanted to continue to use Susan because I knew wedding vendors at the time were struggling and wanted to help as much as possible. I let her know all of these changes plenty of time ahead, and let her know I would still use her for our original big wedding that we were postponing to 2021. Unfortunately our wedding venue for 2021 is not opening due to the uncertainty. Susan refuses to give back the deposit. I tried to level with her on that, again understanding everyone is struggling right now. I suggested using the money for the deposit maybe for some family pictures this year etc so we were both coming out on top and no one is loosing money. Again, she absolutely refuses. She said if I want family pictures I had to put more money down and that the deposit for any weddings is to be used for a wedding only. I thought I was being reasonable with Susan from the start to make sure everyone gets the better end of the stick, but that really bit me in the butt in multiple ways in this situation of this vendor. If you don't want to get screwed over on thousands of dollars, and want wedding pictures you're excited to show everyone do not use Susan.
