I came across Sarah's work while looking for a photographer to shoot our first professional family photos around our daughter's first birthday. I loved her portfolio/blog and thought she would be a perfect fit for what we were looking for and she definitely was! Sarah was always so on top of communication, always quick to answer any of our questions regarding location, etc. When we met her the day of our photo shoot, she was so warm and friendly and our 1 year old warmed up to her right away. Sarah took us to different locations within the park we chose to give us a wide variety of photos and really took her time to get the perfect shot. She was fantastic working with our daughter and we have so many absolutely amazing shots with a very happy baby! We had a great time shooting with Sarah and got our photos back super fast! All of our photos turned out so well and I'm seriously having a very tough time deciding which ones to print! I will definitely be recommending Sarah Potter Photography to friends and family and we will be contacting her again next year for our photos!

Sarah's photography hangs in nearly every room of our house. She originally helped us with our engagement photos and then photographed my twins for their first birthday.

On top of her incredible talent as a photographer, Sarah has an uncanny ability to help everyone relax and enjoy themselves...especially kids. She has both endless energy and an inherent calm, which puts everyone at ease. Sarah's pictures don't look stuffy or 'posed' because everyone is truly having a great time. Not only do we love our pictures, but we love our memory of TAKING those pictures. (That's not something I expected with twin 11 month olds at what would normally be their crankiest time of day!)

Sarah's prices are incredibly reasonable. I never imagined that we could afford professional photography and feel so lucky that Sarah does what she does.

Finally, Sarah is a true professional. She suggested many incredible locations near us; once we picked our spot, (Bothell Landing), she knew exactly how, when, and where to get the best shots. We were also very thankful for her advance email with tips on what to wear and how to prepare.

We highly recommend Sarah Potter and are looking forward to seeing her next Fall for our kids' "Two Year" pictures.

This is a bit delayed but Sarah shot the photos for mine and my husbands wedding back in June 2015. I would recommend her to any and everyone!!! She made our whole bridal party feel at ease and have so much fun with taking pictures! It definitely did feel like we were missing out on anything while doing photos. She and her second shooter made us feel like we had known them for years and it felt like they were part of the family! We enjoyed our experience with Sarah from beginning to end. She worked with our family to create awesome senior portraits for our son. She captured his personality and presence just perfectly, and really worked well with him. He is a very camera-shy individual, and was not interested in any "bells and whistles" re: changing outfits and venues. She met him where his needs were and did a beautiful job. We have been using Sarah for years. My husband was not very involved in the photo shoots with our girls but after a couple annual sessions he said he hopes she is still taking their photos when they are high school seniors. I even convinced him to do a family session and he felt so at ease that he is looking forward to the next one. I have nothing but good things to say about Sarah! I was referred to her through a mutual friend. She was quick in responding to my initial email to set up a session, and once we had things scheduled, she was there to answer my unending questions about what to wear, what we'd do in case of bad weather, where to go, etc. On the day of our session she was there early, braved the cold (without complaining, like I did!), and was awesome to work with. Having your photo taken can be intimidating, but Sarah was easy to be around and fun just to talk to! She kept our baby happy and smiling throughout the shoot and that definitely made mom and dad happy, too.
Our photos were ready to preview after only 10 days, and I received the disc in the mail about two days later. I don't know if that turn around time is normal, but the photos were so great I'd wait twice that time for them!
All my friends ask me who did my darling family photos and I undoubtedly recommend Sarah Potter Photography to them. Actually, I'd probably tell strangers on the street, too!
