I want to preface this with I am a wedding photographer myself so you can imagine that when it came to choosing my own wedding photographer it was the biggest decision I had to make, even more so than the venue! Sam photographed my husband and me for 2 days, 1 day for us to exchange private vows and another day to celebrate with a small group of family + friends. The photos she took of us were amazing but the photos she got of our family + friends are truly PRICELESS and don't even get me started on the photos she got of our dogs. I look at our photos and still cannot believe that it's my wedding! My husband and I were smiling, laughing, and happy crying while looking through the all photos. She photographed both days so perfectly and working with her in general was effortless + easy, nothing felt posed or forced. We just showed up, got to be ourselves, and had fun while she captured both days. Sam really does have an artistic eye and it shows in her work, she can make a small moment (like helping a grandparent down the steps or our dogs greeting our guests) feel like something so special. She is also a superwoman; she shot multiple rolls of film for us and the balancing act of being a single photographer shooting across 4 (or even 5?) cameras in total is no easy feat but again she made it look effortless and when I look back at the photos I'm wondering how she was everywhere at once. She really did feel like another friend that was there for our wedding day and many of our guests even mentioned the same thing! She is an expert at what she does and worth every single penny, I know that we will look at these photos for years to come and be transported right back to the day. Like I said before: priceless memories that we will forever cherish!

My husband hired Sam to shoot our engagement and we loved her work so much, we hired her for our wedding! Sam was very easy to get along with and has a talent for turning a mundane setting into art. A funny story we love to tell is when we were engaged, my husband accidentally missed the spot he was supposed to propose at and there ended up being a huge power line through the middle of the shot. You would never know it because Sam was able to get just the right shots to avoid the electrical lines to get some fantastic pictures. Our wedding style and her photography style came together like peas and carrots. We cannot wait to get some of these printed for our home.

My wife and I hired Sam to photograph our wedding. We both agree this was the BEST investment we made for our wedding. Sam is incredibly professional, organized and is a very direct communicator. She’s also wonderfully warm and so easy to be around. She put us at ease every step of the way from the first conversation to the day of the wedding. By the end, she felt like family. On to the photos- they were perfection. Looking through our gallery brought us to tears. She captured all of it in such a thoughtful and authentic way. We are so grateful to Sam that we have these cherished moments captured forever. She did a mix of digital and film which we loved. The film photos are so rich and stunning. Sam has done several shoots for us. I love having a photographer capture our growing family, especially while the kids are little and changing so quickly. Having the same photographer keeps the images cohesive and that feels important. I especially love the natural colors in her work.

Sam drives 30 minutes to our property each time and allows time for us to explore and get creative. Not only does this make for great photos, but it also helps the kids and dogs relax from the excitement of having a visitor. It’s great she loves animals so much and understands I’m needy about getting photos with my busy dogs (aka my first children 💗). She’s so so good with the kids too.

We always receive sneak peaks shortly after our shoots and I can tell she’s genuinely excited about them too.

I recommend Sam to everyone and I can’t wait for her to capture more special moments of our family.

Samantha shot our wedding a few months ago and I am still getting compliments about her from my family&friends. The photographs she shot are perfect and captured the event exactly how I wanted. But I knew her photographs were going to be amazing from her portfolio...what I didn't know was how her presence would give us all a sense of calm and confidence throughout the entire event. Sam helped create my wedding-day itinerary and gave me essential tips when getting ready (Bye, fabric loops/hanger straps!). She was in all the right spots but made her presence barely known. When you choose Sam, you are choosing more than a photographer. She made our wedding dreams come true.

My partner and I were beyond satisfied with Sam’s services. We have never received professional photographs, but felt it was absolutely necessary to document my pregnancy. Sam helped us decide the best location for these photos based on the time of year we were doing them. She checked in, and gave advice, about the best time of day to take the photos so we could get the best natural lighting. Due to her availability, she was even open to switching days since the weather would be nicer the following day. Sam came in with warm positive energy. She played relaxing music to set the environment. Having no experience posing, Sam was able to confidently place us. She had several ideas for photos based on our environment and type of shoot we were receiving. Coming in with ideas of shots we wanted, she was able to incorporate those as well. Last but not least, we had a very playful dog that seemed to get in every photo. Sam was so helpful in one handedly playing with her while capturing and directing shots. We received several posed and candid photos, which encapsulate exactly what we had hoped. Sam's passion and creativity can be seen throughout her photos. Truthfully, I was absolutely nervous about receiving professional photos since I’m not well in-front of the camera, but Sam made me feel very comfortable and self-assured. We would absolutely use her again. Thank you Sam for such a fun and memorable experience!
