As someone who has been practicing film photography for the better part of a decade and a half, I like to think I know a thing or two about what makes a good lab, and there's a reason that I've trusted Pro Photo Supply with the developing of dozens on dozens of rolls over the last couple years (along with several print jobs). These folks are knowledgable, friendly, and prepared to go the extra mile to meet my needs almost every single time I'm in. While I typically make use of their develop-only services, I can trust that my film is being handled with the utmost of care, and is always ready on time and well-kept.

I've worked with multiple members of the counter staff here, including Bailey, Isabella, Lara, and the lab manager Mick. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that all four are excellent at what they do, and are meticulous about every detail (something that one definitely wants when it comes to laboratory work). Bailey even worked with me personally both pre and post-developing on the details of a black and white project I'd wanted to try, and her advice yielded excellent results! She is friendly and knows her stuff, and I have it on good authority that she was behind the development of a number of my black and white rolls.

Mick and Isabella, too, are super stars who are always willing to work with me on my specific needs, even providing suggestions for how to approach my personal deadlines. Isabella is easy to work with, and is more than happy to assist when I ask tons of questions about print sizes, paper types, and turnaround times. Her patience and suggestions are invaluable, particularly when I was putting in my first large print order this year (which came out amazing, thanks to Lara's fabulous work on the print profile that was used for my job).

On at least 2 occasions, one of my cameras has flubbed up, resulting in a loosely wound roll of 120 film, and each time, Mick personally took it into the back to deal with in order to minimize the light leaks--downright saving at least 2 important rolls for me. Such is life when trying out a toy camera, but I'm happy to say the results came out great thanks to Mick's rescue-operations!

It's a special kind of experience working with lab staff that cares enough about your work to ask you how things have turned out, and doubly so when they remember you well enough to know what you're going to need before you even say it. It helps that the prices here are very reasonable, and the turnaround times are excellent for how busy these folks often are. I can see myself coming here for years to come. Shout out to Mick for running such an amazing crew. Ya'll are great, keep up the good work!

They had the cutest little family Christmas event powered by quantum fiber called paws and prints, I brought my family and my 2 dogs and got the most adorable family portrait I've ever seen ❤️🐾

I had a good experience with them for develop + scan previously, but this time around, I brought in 12 rolls of film for develop only and they had a very poor result. I had negatives with scratches all over them and some weird chemical residue (straight from the lab! I never touched them!) and my negatives were cut haphazardly, with some strips hanging loose when I went to pick them up. One of the rolls was not cut the way I had specified, and I should have received a refund for that. The person at the counter mentioned that someone less experienced must have developed/cut my negatives. Worst of all, I brought one roll of b+w in, the lab tried to develop this roll as color, and completely lost all the photos on that roll! I know this is the case because my roll has absolutely NOTHING on it, not even borders—that’s a sign of a complete botch of the development process. Those were priceless memories that I can't get back. This lab and store has good prices, but I’m never going back because of the complete mess they made of my photos.

They take much longer than shutterbug, reformed film lab and others. They charge more also. I would only go here when I lived nearby, but for the price I'd definitely go somewhere else.

Prophoto: 1-2 weeks for scans (over two weeks once for me).
Others: 2-4 business days for scans.

They also can't have someone's email on file like everyone else. This would make checkout and delivery easier.

Unfortunately not up to par and I've stopped recommending Pro Photo Supply's Lab to clients. I went to pick up some 4x6 simple color prints and when I looked at all of them, one had serious banding across the image and obviously was not printed correctly. I asked for a reprint. It would take up to 30minutes I was told. Went to get coffee, returned, stood around, watched my car meter expire and wasted an hour waiting..only to be told that there was a paper jam in the printer...so no reprint until much later in the day. I'm a pro photog and it really bums me out not to have a local lab to support.

The employees here are extremely nice and helpful here. The prices are decent and the quality and amazing especially when it comes to colors on scans, I would say it's the best place in Portland for scanning and development. One of my favorite things about pro photo is their amazing ability to always deliver on time, they give you a date and time that the scans will be emailed to you, and they have always delivered within 10 min of that time frame. I will continue to get my photos developed and scanned here for a long time to come
