My ex got away with paying $25/month, $50/month, then $75/week through a duration of 10 years. After a divorce that brought me back to square one, I ended up placing my daughter with her father while I built myself back up. I have Autism and ADHD, so attending school full time is the max that I can mentally handle. This magistrate decided to reimburse all arrears owed to me back to my ex, tried to intimidate me into getting a full time job at 54k a year, and when I didn’t she still put ME $5,900 in arrears and ordered me to pay $170/week to my ex. Mind you, I’m on unemployment through the 599 program and pay $150/week to my ex husband for THREE CHILDREN!! How am I paying more for one teenager than I am for three under 12?
I am disgusted and seeking punitive damages now. I am objecting to this decision as she did not even see my tax returns prior to this decision, only three months of paystubs from unemployment. This is bias and unethical and she should absolutely be ashamed of her actions.

This court is an absolute joke, they do not have the children’s best interest at heart. They pass their judgement with no factual evidence and solely based on allegations. They make the fathers life incredibly difficult by taking his children away and have to go through so many hurdle to be part of their life again for no reasoning whatsoever and rule in favor of the mother.This hurts the children as well as the parent which they could care less about. This court will destroy your family so avoid this place at all cost

This court system has got some of the most corrupt judges a man already paying 1900 a month in child support got told that he can potentially go out and earn more to make up what he is already struggling with bill wise but let’s the mom who decides to go to fancy vacations like Aruba, spa trips, football games, baseball games and not 1 kid in them pictures slide. They don’t give a hell about the hard working dads out there it’s sad.

The child support unit has a worker name Raymond he is absolutely rude . I called to verify my court date that was postponed and he spoke to me really rude like I’m im asking for him to give me any money you should have better service because you are here to help women’s and especially single mothers .what a disappointment. They dismissed my case and never notified me I was online on my court date for 26 min no one ever showed up you need better service

The family court clerks are the lowest , play games and treat people like garbage. Very sad. They think they are above everyone that walks in. Far from it going by the way they act. Realize this most of us wouldn’t be there if your judges wouldn’t entertain BS so the lawyer friends can make money. We all know it’s the truth but they keep entertaining the scorned. So sad

Disgusting. Judges should be removed and put in jail. I feel sorry for any non-custodial parent coming here. They will side with any lies told by the other side, even when you have documentation & proof to show lies. Forget about them caring about "family" or the childrens best interests. They destroy any possibility of family units. May they all go to hell.

The court officers act as if they have the weight of the world on their shoulders. In reality they are glorified tsa workers wanding people. Extremely nasty. I was a cop in the south bronx for 20 years, was a very stressful environment and never treated anyone the way these country bumpkin officers treat the public. Send these court officers to the Bronx for a month and see how their piss poor attitude changes.

Security here is pleasant to deal with at family court. Court officers are also very helpful.
