Michael is a legend who has worked with legends so it's hard to believe how down to earth and personable he still is!!

It's a running joke with my friends that they need to work wonders with their camera filters to make my pics look halfway decent. I just look much better in person. So you can imagine my awkwardness in front of a camera, let along a gigantic professional camera with huge stage lights and diffusers. I literally started sweating! Michael immediately puts you at ease however, with his confidence, humor and kindness. He is a humble guy with deep knowledge of his craft and has an artistic touch.

A consummate professional, his movements were efficient but never felt rushed. I brought a blazer, change of shirts and a scarf. Michael did shots of various combinations of those in various settings around his studio. And I got amazing shots that I can use professionally and personally! That I'm proud to show off, finally!! I don't even think the pics can get much better with his touch ups. Can't thank Michael enough.

Michael is an extremely talented photographer who clearly knows what he is doing.
As a beginner, I was a little concerned about being myself infront of the camera and feeling comfortable enough to get the right shots. However, Michael created such a relaxing atmosphere, and always knew exactly what to say to provoke different natural facial expressions. He really understood my personality and gave excellent suggestions and instruction to capture remarkable photographs. I left with so many amazing photos, and it was such and enjoyable experience. There is only ONE Michael Benabib! I had photos taken by him 11 years ago...so did my husband, and in my 21 years here in NYC he is hands down the BEST! I then started working with Michael as a makeup artist on his shoots, there is nobody like him. He is incredible at his craft and also happens to be the coolest, most easy going guy ever! He makes the client feel so comfortable and won't stop until he gets 'the shot'. There's a reason why he works nonstop and comes so highly recommended by everyone! I only wish there were more than 5 stars to choose from! He's the BEST.

This was a really good shoot experience. I don't feel photographic at all, but Michael was very knowledgeable on angles and poses for the look I was trying to achieve. The shoot was incredibly efficient and I've never had THIS many photos that are usable from one shoot...ever. I'll definitely be referring my friends and plan to go back when I need new headshots.
