I chose Bruce Hudson's Portrait Design, after I met with him to explain what type of photo shoot I wanted and to review his portfolio.
I hired him document the activities for my Father's Memorial Weekend. This included a memorial church service and a military honor service at the cemetery, which included the presentation of the flag. He also met with the family at our family's home to take some family portraits, since many family members had traveled from out of state.
Bruce's attention to detail and ability to capture the essence of the individual events while staying in the background without being noticed was perfect. Communication was very important to me and I felt he really listened to the essence of what I wanted to accomplish by this photo shoot. After I reviewed the proofs he was able to create a photo album to tell my father's story which complimented nicely the individual photo prints which I had also requested.
All together the experience was a very positive one and the family who received the photo album copies and prints where extremely impressed with the quality. Thank you Bruce, you captured the weekend perfectly for us...Liz

I'm not sure how I was lucky enough to come upon Bruce and his team when it was time for my son's senior portrait. My son has autism and for the first time in his life, someone was able to capture a natural, beautiful image of him. I can not even convey how important this has been for his self esteem. Since my son processes information visually, having an accurate picture of him looking at the camera and smiling easily gave him a true sense of how others see him, and increased his own self awareness.
