Helen came highly recommended to us by a friend who had a newborn family shoot a year prior. After a pretty traumatic hospital and NICU stay, we knew that once we brought our baby home, we wanted to capture that special time. The night before the shoot was one of the hardest nights we’d had as new parents, with our baby not sleeping at all. Despite our collective exhaustion, the shoot was perfect, and the photos turned out amazing.

Helen is an absolute dream to work with. She is kind, compassionate, creative, experienced, and talented. We hired her for our in home newborn photoshoot because we wanted to capture memories of our tiny firstborn baby that were familiar and organic, not posed and retouched. Helen showed up (earlier than scheduled based on a morning-of request on our end) with a full bag of outfits and accessories, and spent several hours capturing the sweetest photos that our family will look back fondly on forever. She is so gifted at finding the most beautiful light and angles for her photos and handling our baby in a way that he felt so comfortable (these first time parents even learned a thing or two from her soothing techniques!). She helped us even before the shoot by helping us pick clothes for the family that would match with the clothes she was bringing for the baby and answering all out questions calmly. Helen is such a gifted photographer and creates a fun experience for the whole family! I booked her for both a maternity and a newborn shoot and the pictures turned out beautifully. She’s amazing with kids too and was able to get my squirmy toddler to actually listen and take some amazing shots. She has great ideas for posing, is so patient and easy to work with, and has a great sense of humor to make everyone relaxed and at ease! She’s also reasonably priced and super responsive. Helen is wonderful. This is the second year we did our yearly holiday photoshoot and every time the picture are wonderful. We have a toddler and she was so good with him. It's not easy to do a photoshoot with a little one. Highly recommend!
