Unfortunately this is more of a “Shopette” and not so much of a Base Exchange. Staff didn’t greet me, instead just kept stocking, forcing me to use self check out. The isles often tend to be filled with product making it very hard for me to get around with my ADA service dog. Prices are also fairly expensive when compared to the gas station less than a half mile away. Last but not least, there’s no fuel here.

In my opinion there was a very limited selection of anything inside. This place is more for a quick snack/drink if you happen to be on base, it’s not a place to grab a meal, items for the house or actual groceries. Which is sad, because I do think it is time Grissom adds a Commissary or an actual base exchange. The base has hundreds of workers, Retirees and Air Force personnel could benefit as this reserve base see more traffic than most. Plus building one or both of these facilities would create jobs, but revenue for the base and give us everyone with base access an affordable place to shop.

Shoppette sized Exchange. Good selection of convenience products. Stopped by while driving to grab snacks and take a break. No gas station or public restrooms. Very friendly staff and great selection of Air Force merch. Behind the main gate and you need a valid military ID. Adjacent to the flight line.
