He was very professional, communicative, flexible throughout the process. Our doctors loved getting their photos taken by him and he was willing to travel far to help make it happen. Amazing job! First off, the photos turned out great! Gary was super responsive and easy to work with. He had a tons of options including bringing in a professional makeup artist to sending you additional headshots/photos that you could choose to purchase (for a significantly reduced price) if you liked them as well. The small edits done to the photos looked absolutely natural and helped enhance the already amazing quality.

My sessions with Gary was really good for someone who isn't as comfortable with pictures as well. He had really good comments on how I should position myself/smile/move through poses to get excellent natural looking shots. No yearbook photos here!

I am in awe with Gary's work and the work of his makeup artist, Lauren! I'm an active duty service member transitioning out of the Army this year and needed an updated professional portrait for my LinkedIn, social media profiles, and professional portfolio. Speaking from a photographer's standpoint (Army 46S - PAO; iykyk), I reviewed his website for more information and reviews there and here in Google Maps, which all reflected among the highest I've found in the area. I originally found Gary through the Portraits for Patriots program, which is an outstanding way to give back to the military community. It was also very heartfelt to know that he is also a veteran and loves to give back to the military community with his gift!

I took all the reviews' advice and booked a shoot with Gary and for Lauren's makeup services late last month at his studio in Louisville, KY. Right after booking, I received a series of organized emails and reminder texts with details and resource links to help me prepare for my appointment, which helped a lot and even provided me great parking downtown! His studio space was clean and aesthetically pleasing. The service both he and Lauren provided me was outstanding; they made me feel very comfortable from the start with personable conversation and asking intuitive questions to ensure each of their work aligned with the brand identity I desired to present myself as. Lauren's makeup service complimented my face shape, skin tone, and eye shape very well. I also don't wear makeup often, but when I do, I tend to keep it natural-looking anyway, which you can tell she did just that in my edits! I also have a hard time with foundations due to having a neutral-to-olive undertone, so I brought my own that matches exactly just in case, which she was happy to work with! She asked many detailed questions to have my look come out just right and was very open to feedback to fix every detail, like smoothing down frizz that stuck up at the top of my head or taming a wild wavy lock that was out of place on camera. She even offered to quickly change my lipstick color for me at the end of my session since I was being taken on a date by my spouse later that evening anyway, which I greatly appreciated.

The photo edits came back to me within the same week and are of such high quality! The download process was simple and came with a clear set of instructions for the best upload on my platforms possible. My photos fully aligned with the message I was trying to send to future employers: warm, welcoming, confident, and feminine. I can 100% say I'll be looking into booking with him again for my spouse and me before we move later this year. I ended up paying for the next service tier above what I originally booked for, and Gary graciously offered to do it in the same session to be able to have two outfit options with my headshot. On a financial standpoint, Gary and Lauren's work was very reasonable and affordable. For the overall experience, I would 1000% pay the full price and tip. Thank you again for all you do to support transitioning service members like me; every detail contributed to the best experience I've had yet!
