At this point, there has been some mysterious phenomenon to occur at Dynamic Blending which has led to lack of response, no follow-up on pending projects, no one answering calls or emails, no refund on product not completed, and we're left in the lurch with a pallet full of product that we've been waiting for, for over 4 months. We're being forced to talk to our attorneys about pursuing this issue further at this point. They were a great team when we started working with them 2 years ago, but run...you don't want to be stuck with this problem, at all!

Just like all the other reviews below, we were scammed and stolen from by Dynamic Blending. What in the contract said would take 90-150 days (3-5 months) has turned into 730 days, (two years). Sure, their lawyer responded and has now just told us they will refund us $1,000.00 of the $15,000.00 we spent to develop 3 products that are nowhere near complete.

They created a lotion instead of a conditioner for us after a year of "development".

The entire team we started with, have all quit now. They owe our friends 200k and are 18 months behind on delivering products. Another friend said it took 11 months AFTER the product was finalized to get their product and they won't be going back.

Run as fast as you can. I contracted with them for R&D and the product samples they continue to send are poorly executed. One of the samples was so sticky I couldnt use it on my face. When I brought this to their attention they told me don't worry about the stickiness just test it out for efficacy. Now why would I want to wear a sticky gel on my face everyday for 90 days to test out the efficacy? When instead you should just re-do the samples. POOR POOR customer service. I will be looking for another manufacturer. I reached out to my project manager (I've had 3-4 since I started less than 1 year ago, that should tell you something) with no response. I've also called multiple times and it seems as if they no longer answer the phone or emails. Wish I would've done better research before I spent so much money with them, they do a good job of selling you on their capabilities which are unfortunately lackluster.

If you are reading this, and in the process of hiring Dynamic Blending - don't. I run a seven figure business and work with dozens of OEM vendors across a range of products, and Dynamic Blending has been by far the worst. Borderline criminal (I am also reporting them to the BBB).

After 10 weeks of investment with Dynamic blending, we were forced to terminate our project with them due to severe underperformance in project management, execution, and work quality.

Despite best efforts from our end, our project dragged out (10 weeks) with no satisfactory output that met the terms of our contract. Work on one of our formulas was never initiated, while the other two had unacceptable output. Dynamic's output was unacceptable for the following reasons:

*Poor Handling of Requirements*: Despite our team providing formula specs with sourcing information, there were continuous misunderstandings of requirements by the Dynamic team, resulting in delays and mistakes in formulation. Samples created by Dynamic never matched our specs.

*Nontransparent Ingredient Sourcing*: Ingredients sourcing by Dynamic to meet our company formula specs were incomplete and unclear, with no rationale for deviations from the specified suppliers. Instead of clear digital documentation, we were sent a photograph of paper notes with confusing notations and ingredient codes.

*Poor Communication and Project Management*: Since the project kickoff, we requested updates and milestone dates but received vague responses, or in some cases no response at all.

To add insult to injury, upon my re review of the original contract our company was wrongly billed as an R&D project instead of a Tech Transfer project. Their own contract terms state: "A Tech Transfer is a formula, including associated intellectual property, manufactured by a previous contract manufacturer, or provided by the Customer, and that requires no revisions/additional R&D to the provided formula for production."

Our formulas submitted did not need revisions. We sent INCIs, % breakdowns, and even supplier recommendations. Dynamic conducted no R&D yet billed us this way regardless.

The issues we encountered during this project were numerous and severe, leading not just to a highly unsatisfactory experience, but delaying our commercialization plans by 10 weeks which will cost my company far more than the fees they charged. Due to the numerous instances of poor handling of requirements, nontransparent ingredient sourcing, and inadequate communication and project management, they provided no deliverable that met the contract terms - and because of this I requested a refund for the upfront fees they charged.

Unfortunately after emailing Dynamic's CEO, Gavin Collier, he provided no response and instead let his legal team handle communication. To-date they have continued to refuse to reimburse us for their upfront fees. As mentioned above, I will also be submitting a report to the BBB about Dynamic. If you have read this far, I hope this review will dissuade you from working with them in any capacity.

We started working with Dynamic Blending about 5 years ago and had a great experience and we weee able to make some really excellent formulas. Then seemed that several members of the team changed and the last formulas that we paid for development, the samples were of way inferior quality and we did not end up commercializing them. However we continued to use Dynamic Blending for manufacture of our creams that we did commercialize, which was going ok until last year we made a stock standard order on a cream that we had running for years and the initial lead time was 16 weeks, then they had trouble finding the ingredients and the excuses from the product manager kept going on and on. It is now nearly a year since I made the order and I have given up emailing, calling texting for an update. This company used to be amazing, however now I am nervous I will ever get my two orders that I placed and have left customers hanging for months. I am going to try one of the suppliers recommended by another disgruntled DB customer.

While I had a positive experience working with individual team members at Dynamic Blending, our project ultimately turned into a disaster. We started by paying $500 for the first sample and an additional $4950 as a down payment for production. Unfortunately, the first sample they provided contained ingredients from the wrong suppliers.

Over the course of the next year, we worked closely with Dynamic Blending to revise the procedure, ingredients, and suppliers in order to achieve the desired outcome. Dynamic Blending refused to start on subsequent samples until we paid additional invoices. We paid five additional invoices over the next year for new sample revisions, hoping for improvement.

Regrettably, despite our collaborative efforts, Dynamic Blending consistently failed to accurately produce our samples, leading to ongoing frustration. We expressed our willingness to visit their site to troubleshoot the issues, but they declined our request. Towards the end of the project, I even went as far as requesting pictures of the labels for every ingredient, for which they charged a consulting fee, only to discover that one of the ingredients was incorrect.

This disappointment was magnified by the fact that we had successfully produced the product numerous times in our own lab. Ultimately, we had no choice but to terminate our partnership with Dynamic Blending.

Adding to our frustration, they refused to refund the $4950 down payment for production even though they never started production. They argued that the refund was not possible due to additional costs of developing samples, but they had previously insisted on upfront payment before beginning sample development. We paid 5 sample development invoice during this process.

In search of a better solution, we decided to engage a different manufacturer, Nutrix in Salt Lake City, and to our relief they were able to produce the samples correctly on the first attempt. Based on my personal experience and the significant challenges we faced, I would not recommend Dynamic Blending.

Similar to Ben's review below we had a terrible experience with Dynamic Blending. Dynamic Blending 100% misrepresented timelines and what they offer during the sales process. I purchased an R&D contract for my haircare business for them to perfect, large batch and then manufacture a formula that was already selling as we were small batching. I was very clear that we had a major PR push pending at the end of the deadline with some wiggle room as things do have hiccups and can take a bit longer. Dynamic stated they would seamlessly work with perfumers they "staffed" and also had relationships with, they also stated that they could quickly help with bottle sourcing during R&D if needed, they said they had design and distribution sales teams. This one stop shop was the catalyst for me signing their contract and starting with them. The process of R&D for our hair oil was not supposed to go past 14 weeks, 16 weeks at the most. Then the agreement was once the formulation was finalized stability testing would occur. which was a part of the invoice. Stability testing was to take one month and was an additional charge - and it was agreed that I would start manufacture during stability testing to ensure our PR launch/ influencer campaigns, and grant deadlines, retailer pre orders were met. 18 weeks in the team was dragging their feet and I demanded a call with their owner Gavin Collier after I tried to get a full grasp of the timeline to completion with manufacturing and was told a number of weeks that was more than double in the sales process. 24 weeks to manufacture post R&D, and that was definitely not the number given during sales of the most 8 weeks. He assured me it would be much faster than that now that he was in the project and that in manufacturing he could turn it around for me 4-6, that he would now be in the project and I let him know of not only communication deficiencies, documentation deficiencies and that after 2 months of requesting bottle pricing that I did not yet have it and he assured me they would get it to me as I wanted to have a faster supplier than the one we were using in China. After speaking with him nothing improved. The team still lagged and I had to send multiple emails inquiring about the status. Instead we ended up going to legal because as the final straw after not providing bottle pricing per a request for 2 months they " highly" referred us to a perfumer and then 3 weeks later stated they could not work with them directly and that we would need to be the go between for everything. It was the final excuse in a long line of excuses with a strange email from the owner stating they were being price gouged by perfumers due to covid, but assuring me that if we did it this way they would make sure we would still have great rates. This email came after them being a bit slimy and trying to nudge us to another perfumer in email after we had all engagement calls and had already made it clear that we engaged the perfumer they highly referred. At that point I engaged my legal team and told them to stop work. They rushed to send an unfinished sample, dated the exact day they told me they did not have all of the materials yet to finish them, to claim completion of the project when indeed it was not complete. 5600 in legal fees and 8 months later they were not able to do what they claimed with WHO THEY REFERRED to finalize the oil, we have delayed sales, delayed PR and influencer and 2 months of communications later they tried to charge storage fees for my bottles to return our stock they were holding to manufacture our oil to us and are also refusing a full refund. This was a wholely mismanaged project, nothing but misrepresentation in the sales process, terrible lags in communication, excuses about servers being down, my account executive was always out of office. A-lot of lost money.

Update: As of 10/3/23 Dynamic has sent our bottle stock to our warehouse but have not provided a refund of undelivered services.

I have yet to start the process, however, I wanted to say this manufacturer has been incredibly prompt and respectful to me via email correspondence so far. I have frequently been ignored and was even told my project would be more hassle to clean machinery than it was worth by other labs. I really appreciate that Dynamic Blending works with everyone no matter who they are and gives chances to those with dreams to start their own business and not only huge corporations. I appreciate how they have treated me so far and really hope the process continues on this way (which I am sure it will based on other reviews!)
