Review: Del Sol Photography (They do all sorts of things, but we hired them for our wedding)
Package: Five hours with two photographers (definitely have two photographers, it was worth it!)
Pros: NO RESORT EXTERNAL VENDOR FEE, punctual, organized, enthusiastic, caring

Our photos were everything we wanted, and the gallery Del Sol put together was amazing (the gallery was also easy to use and download photos from). They were committed to capturing our story, and Matt and Martina delivered and THEN some. We are fun and playful, and he showcased our personalities in our photos. I trusted the team completely, and they captured all the right moments—the laughs, the tears, ALL of the “big” moments and even the quieter moments, like sweet handholding between the groom’s parents, etc. Some of the photos were a hilarious surprise and a perspective that I didn’t know I wanted, but absolutely LOVE and will be added to one of the several collages in our home. They provided all the “classic” wedding photos and moments, and then leveraged their artistic expertise and experience to take it all to a whole other level. Also, the unique creative techniques they used throughout made the photos feel SO romantic and dreamy. The photos aren’t just Photoshopped afterwards with some easy, slapped-on effect—they’d literally use small mirrors to create reflections of the environment in THAT instant the night-of. It made the photos feel so in-the-moment and truly representative of the magic we felt that night. The pictures make it so evident the evening was full of joy, laughter, and so much love. I love the candid photos where we’re busting a gut laughing, dancing our hearts out, etc. I highly, highly recommend Del Sol if you’re looking for a photographer that listens and carries out your vision as opposed to just showing up and “taking the usual pictures.” Thanks for reading—please enjoy a small sampling of our photos.

My husband & I got married at Dreams Tulum & used Del Sol (Polly & Martina were our photographers) for wedding day photography. I seriously cannot say enough GREAT things about them. From the moment they arrived (right on time, even a little early), I felt their love & upbeat but calming energy that seriously just made me smile & relax (the best I could at the time lol). They knew exactly what they were doing and really helped lead the charge the whole day!!! Aside from their kind souls, they are THE BEST with a camera!!! I was able to talk via phone call with Polly a few weeks before the wedding about a few of the details & styles I like when it comes to wedding pictures, but I had NO IDEA that phone call would lead to the wedding photos of my dreams!!!!!!!! Everything was SO perfect & EVERYONE had amazing things to say about the Del Sol team both the day of the wedding (because seriously it was hard not to notice the WORK they were putting in) as well as when we received our photos back (less than 3 week turnaround?!?! Sign me up!!!!!). They take their work very seriously & you can tell from the results. Matt is absolutely incredible, and it’s so evident in the stunning quality of his work. From the very first moment we met him, it felt like we had known him for a lifetime. He has such a genuine, kind-hearted nature, and you can truly feel that he cares deeply about capturing the special moments of your day. Our very first call with Matt, he spent over an hour with us on the phone explaining the entire process in great detail and answering every single question we had. There was a sense of ease and comfort from the start, which made us feel so relaxed in front of the camera, despite the whirlwind of our wedding day.
Our wedding photos are beyond beautiful—they tell the story of our love in the most magical and unimaginable way. I honestly can't stop looking at them! Each photo is so special that I’m having the hardest time choosing which ones to print because there are so many gorgeous, meaningful moments to choose from. The way Matt captured the little details, the candid smiles, and the genuine emotions left us speechless. Matt and Polly’s artistic style and approach produced some phenomenal results!
Matt’s familiarity with our resort, Secrets Akumal, was a huge bonus. He knew exactly where to go for those unique, breathtaking shots that we never would have thought of. On top of that, he gave me helpful tips during my bridal morning, making a stressful time so much easier and enjoyable. Matt was able to guide us through the day in such a subtle way, keeping us on track while allowing us to stay fully immersed in the moment. It’s amazing how he captured so many authentic, joyful moments of us laughing, chatting, and being present with one another, all without us even noticing him.
What stood out most was Matt’s dedication. Even though he was scheduled to leave at 8 p.m., he stayed to capture our first dance and continued to photograph our party afterward, ensuring that every precious moment was documented. His commitment to going above and beyond is a true testament to his character and passion for his craft.
We’ve already booked a cenote photo shoot (Trash The Dress) with Matt, and we’re beyond excited to work with him again. His talent and passion are evident in every shot, and we can’t wait to have more of his beautiful work in our home. These photos are more than just images—they’re memories that we’ll treasure for the rest of our lives.

When I began planning my destination Catholic wedding, I found the chapel of my dreams (Capilla de Guadalupe at Xcaret Park). As I continued to look through photos of said chapel, I stumbled across photos of it captured by DelSol Photography and was blown away by how beautiful they were. I then went on to look into DelSol, the website, social media accounts, reviews, and so on down the rabbithole 😅. At that point, I knew immediately that I wanted Matt to photograph my wedding. You'd think that I would make sure I had a reception location before deciding on a photographer, but not in my case! I reached out to DelSol and had the quickest response time. Communication throughout was extremely open, continuous, professional, and fun! On the day of wedding, Matt and Polly both arrived at the ceremony location before I did 😆. Throughout the entire day, they both continuously made sure to be aware of what was happening at what time, captured photos of guests, captured our personalities and essence so perfectly, as well as made the process so enjoyable. I received my photos and was BLOWN AWAY in teary eyes by how wonderful each and every photo is. They went above and beyond to get the perfect photos, candid and posed, and brought my vision to life with memories that were captured so beautifully through camera lens. Did I mention that they were both so so patient with my three children (1, 2, and 10 years old)? At no point did I ever feel pressured or uncomfortable by them, and actually, though I had never met them in person previously, it felt as if I was catching up with old friends who I hadn't seen in a while. HIGHLY, highly, highly recommend!
