Danny and his wife are the best! My wife first found Danny though seeing his work in person and upon seeing it myself, I completely agreed; this was the style we were looking for to capture our special moment. During these years that we've worked with Danny (our wedding had to be postponed due to the pandemic), Danny was extremely professional and went above and beyond to our expectations. Whenever we had a question, he would always answer promptly. It wasn't just prior to us choosing him, but more importantly after the fact we had signed the contract. Danny is super understanding of the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the world to this day. We were extremely grateful that we were able to move our wedding to a new date with no additional cost. On the day of the wedding and engagement shoots, he came prepare with poses and timing for the best photos. Though our wedding day ended up on a predominately over cast sky, he was able to improvise on the spot what new poses/locations to take photos. While we were saddened we didn't get the "golden hour shot" due to mother nature, we got something even better. We used my racecar as a prop and we got some really nice dramatic shots! We would highly recommend Danny to anyone looking for a professional wedding photographer.

If I could give 10 stars, I would! Danny and Julia went above and beyond for us to make my husband and I feel special on our wedding day. This was one of the best decisions we ever made choosing Danny Dong Photography for our intimate wedding. Due to COVID - 19 we had to cancel our wedding in San Diego and were left scrambling to find what we could do to try and have it on the same day as planned. Originally, I reached out to Danny Dong when we were shopping for a photographer and I was sad to hear he was booked on the day we needed. Although, I let him know he was our first choice and if anything changed to please let us know. He called me right in time and let me know he had a cancellation that day and was able to shoot our wedding! This was our first time having professional photos done and they made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. Danny and Julia were so patient and accommodating especially with me being a late bride and needing to extend our time. Our pictures came out more beautiful than I could have ever hoped for! Thank you Danny and Julia for making our wedding day so special and creating gorgeous, lasting memories that we will be able to share and view for years to come.

When we booked Danny in December 2019, it was because we absolutely loved his work. However, we recently realized how duplicitous he is. When we initially expressed interest in his services, he was very responsive, usually responding in 1-3 days. After securing Danny for his services, and particularly after notifying him of having to cancel our December 2020 wedding, he became evasive, taking weeks and even months to respond. In fact, he has become so unresponsive that he has chosen to ignore my last few emails, which specifically address his contract. As our other vendors agreed, Covid-19 was an unforeseeable event that clearly qualifies as an "Act of God" or a "Force Majeure." Danny's contract specifically references these as valid reasons for refund. As the local government actions were becoming unpredictable in response to Covid-19, we informed Danny in June 2020 that there was a possibility that the pandemic may not allow us to hold our wedding as planned. By August 2020, with the ongoing public gathering restrictions issued by the Public Health Department, we had to make the difficult decision to postpone indefinitely since it would be impossible to proceed with our wedding as scheduled. Nevertheless, Danny argues that this cancellation is purely voluntary. In an attempt to compromise, we initially considered rescheduling our wedding. Despite asking for Danny's 2021 availability, he never provided this requested information. Regardless, it is unclear when the pandemic will end, making it unclear when it will be safe to plan and have a wedding. For this reason, we agreed to Danny's second option, to open up our original wedding date to others. This seemed reasonable since neither Danny nor we would lose any money. Five months later, he informs us that this was actually impossible since he did not open up our original date to other couples. He had given us the option, but he never actually attempted to fill the date. We have tried multiple times to resolve the issue of our deposit with Danny, but he has been very difficult with us. All of our vendors were very understanding and returned our deposits, all except for Danny. He is deceiving and refuses to follow his own contract. We advise others to stay away from him.

Planned wedding in LA. I love his wife and his work. Absolutely gorgeous. I used to be a newspaper photographer myself, so I am extremely picky. My husband and I loved his album. It was expensive due to two photographer and stunning editing. If photography is most important to you and price is less of an issue then pick him and his wife. We move around budget just to have them. We love how both of them were able to cover angles that may not be captured if were just one photographer. The only regret is I didn’t mention to take more photos of family and dog. I personally would prefer to pick photos for him to edit since I am more picky. Photo picking post production for my own editing just choosing part took me 6 hours. I also edit them myself. If you are not a photographer then have them pick for you. Very responsive and friendly. Album is from top quality company in NYC. He was able to make me look natural and skinnier since I was pregnant and bloated. Literally as a photographer, I have to say his post editing for body shaping was even more amazing. I interviewed top photographers in the US not just package ones and requested raw photos of all photos. I reviewed European and Asian top wedding photographers since photographer was my priority. I have to say he is basically the top photographer in the US so I flew him and his wife to LA. Julia took amazing photos too. We enjoy our day with them and thank you and Julia for coming.
