Cory Parris photographed our wedding back in 2008. Many moons and two kids later, I’m still so grateful to have chosen him as our photographer. His exquisite photos speak for themselves; our photos are filled with stories of hope, love, friendship and family.

On the day of our wedding, Cory was a stealthy but confident leader. He excelled at quietly directing all of the players to capture the important, big moments and the spontaneous, small details; everything from the elated first look of the bride and groom, to the ebullient bounding steps of my little cousin bearing rings, to the requisite formal group photo with the Japanese relatives. Cory is a true professional. He arrives early and leaves late, and he doesn’t make a fuss. He just quietly directs everyone to where they need to go so that he gets amazing photos.

I’m writing my review all these years later, not just because I still regard him as my favorite wedding vendor, but because a few weeks ago we were searching for high resolution photos from our wedding in memory of a friend. The family said Cory’s photos were the best photos they had ever seen of her. We couldn’t find the original DVD of photos, so I emailed Cory to see if he might still have the files. Despite not having spoken with him for 12 years, he immediately wrote back and said he’d check; a few minutes later, he sent us a link. It reminded me of what an amazing person Cory is. Cory’s photos touched us immensely after our wedding, and all these years later we continue to cherish the permanent glimpse they give us of our loved ones’ delighted smiles and whimsical winks, their kisses of affection and twirls of happiness. I will forever treasure those moments Cory captured for us.

Cory did an amazing job with our wedding photos. He is very easy to work with and is very willing to accommodate our schedule. He also gives great tips and tricks on how to relax and feel less awkward with photo taking. Everyone loved the photos!! Pricing is reasonable judging from the quality of his work. We were lucky enough to have Cory photograph two events for us- first our private courthouse wedding ceremony in 2019, then a very belated reception in 2021. Cory was amazing on both occasions. His photos are absolutely wonderful! I am stunned by how unique and beautiful the photos are. The crowd pictures, especially the ones on the dance floor, do a wonderful job of capturing the sheer joy of our day. Choosing Cory Parris for our wedding day photo shoot was one of the best choices we made! Cory is personable, friendly, knowledgeable, responsive and on top of his game.

For Seattle courthouse wedding photos, I don't think there's anyone better. He knows the building in and out - and also knows all the staff and judges! They were joking with him as we made our way through the building. He knew exactly where and when to take our pics - and even could show us some of the cool hidden artwork in the courthouse.

He was very easy to reach by phone or email before the day. And on the day, even though we showed up early, he was there waiting for us.

He also did a downtown photoshoot with us afterwards - and knew of so many hidden locations that I'd never seen or noticed despite having been here for years.

He was also fun to be around for the day - it was like having a Seattle courthouse / downtown tour!

The photos turned out beautifully - artistically composed and subtly processed to bring out the best in every setting.

We couldn't be happier with Cory Parris, and recommend him without reservation!
