I hired Chad to associate shoot a wedding for me in Moab that I couldn't make this last year because of Covid(I'm based on the west coast and traveling wasn't an option). Needless to say he knocked it out of the park and my clients absolutely adored him. I was extremely happy to hear about their experience with him and having known him professionally for a little while was not surprised. The images and video he took knocked it out of the park.

I've been avoiding writing this because I've never left a bad review but i was really left without a choice.

When I first hired Chad I thought I hit the jackpot, I felt so lucky I found him. He was nice, and responsive at first when it came to emailing me and wanting to meet up. Later on, after we paid the deposit that was not the case.

02/12/2020, I emailed him letting him know my venue " Noah’s" abruptly shut down, it was all over national news and at this point we were considering an elopement since our original plans obviously weren't going to play out.
He got back to me and asked when I was available to meet the next day. I let him know my availability and he never responded.
I followed up with him 8 days later and he apologized and said he thought he had emailed back. I let it go. We met up for a bit a talked about locations for our elopement.
02/28/2020 I emailed him showing Air Bnb's I wanted to book and questions about flights.
03/04/2020 I followed up again. No reply
03/10/2020 I sent another follow-up emailed and my fiancé called and he FINALLY replied and called me saying he thought he had replied.
04/05/2020 The pandemic hit and both my fiancé and I lost our jobs within forcing us to cancel everything. Let Chad know and he let us know we would circle back to things.
09/13/2020 I emailed Chad letting him know things had gotten a lot better and we wanted to consider the elopement again.
09/20/2020 Chad still never replied so I followed up again

I still never heard from him by beg. of October and I decided to drop him completely from being my photographer. I didn't want Chad to be part of our special day if he couldn't even take the time to reply and communicate.

On Oct 30th he finally replied saying, "Hey Helani? I got your email and responded I was mostly free during November... I haven’t heard back from you. Just following up.
-Chad"
By this point I knew he was for sure lying, and pretending he responded was a very unprofessional approach. I let him know I waited 3 weeks for a reply and never heard anything from him so I found a new photographer. I told him since we paid 1000 dollar deposit and he didn't do any work that I was hoping we could settle on us at least getting 500 back which was more then fair but he never replied. I’m not sure what else to do at this point so the least I could do was write a negative review of my awful experience with Chad.
Chad was inconsiderate, unreliable and stole our money without completing any work for us. Save yourself any time and stress and go with someone else.
