I had the pleasure to be photographed by Butler and Badou portraits this last week. I did a boudoir shoot for the first time ever for my 10 year wedding anniversary, and was so relieved to work with Marian! She was so cool and collected, supportive and encouraging all while making sure to coach me on poses, faces, where to look, eyes closed or open, etc.

I felt totally comfortable throughout the process, and confident in her ability to get the perfect photos! Something else I loved about her process is her info sheets she sends before hand that give a ton of info and ideas to think about, encouragement and overall advise. She has a great process to pick the photos and order what fits you best, and has clearly been very thoughtful in her though process from the clients perspective. I’m so thankful for the opportunity and can’t wait to surprise my husband! Thank you Marian!!! 🩷🩷

Marian was so great!! Her energy throughout the session helped me feel more confident about my body and unleashed my creativity as well. I absolutely love her. The makeup artist was great as well. She was very patient with me when I kept blinking as she did my eyes lol. It was over all a wonderful experience and I would love to do another session!

Absolutely AMAZING experience! I entered the free photoshoot giveaway on FB & ended up winning. Since my birthday was coming up, I wanted to use the opportunity to get out of my comfort zone to try something new. After being notified I won, they contacted me in a timely manner to give more details about the style of pictures they take (ranging from family portraits to boudoir to even couples photos!) & to get insight into why I submitted an entry & what I would like to get out of the pictures. Communication was professional, efficient, and I felt fully prepared when arriving. In addition to the photos, they also offer to do hair & makeup for the shoot--though I didn't opt for that as I prefer to do my own styling.
The experience was even better than I could have ever expected. I was informed beforehand that I would be posed--thank goodness, since I never know what to do with my hands! So upon arriving for the shoot, Marian was warm & welcoming with a smile on her beautiful face, making me feel like I was an old friend & already so comfortable before we even got started.
She asked me what vision I had for myself for the pictures & what I wanted to get out of the experience. I cannot emphasize enough how much she truly cared about what I was wanting to get out of the experience. I showed her the clothing and jewelry I brought & she gave her insight about the different ways we could style & pose. I also told her some insecurities I had which she took into consideration when photographing so that I would be captured as my absolute best.
Marian is literally the most AMAZING photographer. It was only Marian and I in the studio and her personable and warm personality allowed me to relax and enjoy myself. Not only did she show me how to pose, but also gave compliments like "oh this one is so pretty!", "love how this looks!", "Ugh this is gonna look so good!" resulting in a confidence boost (which was reflected in my pictures as I'm definitely a sucker for verbal praise) & got me even more excited, adding to the overall great experience I was already having.
We chatted, laughed, & shared stories. When I say Marian cares about what you get out of the experience, I mean she truly cares about the WHY you're here. Are you here to feel better about yourself and gain self-esteem and confidence? Did you have a big change in your life and want this to reflect who you are today? Do you want to get out of your comfort zone and try something you wouldn't dare try before? Do you always give to others and wanted to gift yourself an amazing experience for once? And then she captures it.
After the session, I changed and we went into a separate space to look at the photos. She pulled the pictures up on a projector and did not rush me once as I was going through deciding which ones I did and did not like. I could tell she pulled the absolute best of the pics instead of letting me see EVERY picture including ones where I may have blinked or captured in an unflattering angle which not only expedited the process of choosing but also didn't make me feel like I may not have been looking as good as I thought. She also gave compliments during this time and made me feel beautiful. Having her in my corner while choosing the pictures I liked helped so much and prevented me from a downward spiral of unnecessarily judging myself. She also didn't pressure me to make any big purchases or get anything other than what I wanted, she truly was like a friend helping me love myself.
I left the studio feeling confident, sexy, strong, & so sure of myself, with self-esteem soaring. I couldn't wait to see the photos--which were edited & emailed so surprisingly quick as it was just a few days before the holidays. They were edited so beautifully & I couldn't be more grateful for what this experience has done for me.
If you are wanting to try something new, need a confidence booster, to see yourself in a new light, or if you feel amazing & want to capture that to look back on years later, I highly recommend Butler & Badou Portraits with Marian and the team.

This place is 100% the real deal! It was so much fun and I felt like a million when I walked out! It may seem like a lot of money but you get your moneys worth and please your better half! I have never ever liked any photographs of me - none at all. This changed when I went to Butler and Badou. In Marian’s expert hands, what felt clumsy and unnatural become easy and fluid; she managed to capture what I believe is my essence in the pictures she took; I actually looked like me and she managed also to make me look and feel - dare I say it - beautiful!
