TL:DR is avoid this place if you’re looking for 35mm film develop/scan service.
My first and last time using Photoreal. The film developing is ok. But whoever does the scanning and editing has probably the poorest sense of what film photography is.
See for yourself - The one on the left is what photoreal gave me, VS the one on the right is what color house re-scanned and send me.
I asked the staff at photoreal and he told me “ahh you’re using portra 800 so it’s gonna be a bit more green/blue.”
Come on, this is just poor editing skill and poor sense of color correction or what film even is. My complexion were either red or green or dark in all other photos. I have no idea how a photo lab with such high reviews can fail me so hard.

I better travel all the way to manhattan that use their service again, very in respectful with their clients, sarcastic tone and no attention to client at all.

Lost one of my rolls. I gave them by mistake my wrong email, called to update my email on file and they didn’t update it so ofc it took me a whole week to get my scans back.

Getting passport photos taken at Photoreal was a joy. My husband and I walked in without an appointment and 15 minutes later, walked out, not only with good pictures, but with them staple to our forms. The pictures looked great. The man taking them was friendly and funny, and it was unbelievably fast. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I’d give them six stars if it were an option.

Super quick and quality photo printing service. I use them to develop film from my camera from 2001 and am always super happy with the results. They provide you with digital photos first and then you can decide which you want physically printed (which usually is not all) — saves money!

Excellent for passport photos. Got me in and out quickly and had my photo printed same day. Nice folks working the desk, friendly and efficient. I had tried to go to a big corporate pharmacy location first and they were so disorganized and unfriendly. Glad I ended up finding this place instead. I recommend this place highly and have sent my coworkers here.

I asked the guy for 1hr photo. He said they don’t do that, and I told him he should change his sign. He told me I was lying and to show him where it said 1hr photo. So I showed him on the door and he told me that was a “business name.” Then he kicked me out. lol nice place!

Wow...this place is amazing. Jay, you are such a sweet man. Really appreciate you taking the time to chat about all you offer. I came in for my passport photos- no wait. Pictures came out great! And they develop film...which I will be coming back to do. He said if he is not busy, he can usually develop and send within a day!!! And prices are very reasonable and you get A1 customer service. Go there, see Jay. Tell him Jade sent ya 😉
